Alexandria High School "Valley Cubs" Bands are directed by Dr. Alan Conaway. He has been the director of bands since 1998. His education credits include:

Dr. Conaway has 20 years of experience in Public and Private Schools in Georgia and Alabama. He is credited with starting bands at The Donoho School in 1981 and at Moody High School in 1984. He is married to Tawana Conaway and has two daughters, Alaina and Amber. He is a member of and Choir Director at Angel Grove Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
